In this assignment, each student will select and research a major product, service or process innovation. Students are free to choose the innovation from any industry, market or period of history.
The submission should briefly introduce the chosen innovation, then present a discussion and analysis of the following elements:
ï‚· Identify the major technological developments that contributed the success of the selected product, service or process. ï‚· Describe why and how the innovation was successful in disrupting previous solutions, experiences or approaches. ï‚· Use at least one innovation theory to analyse and explain why the innovation was successful. ï‚· Discuss at least one example of when a product, service or process innovation failed to impact in the same (or similar) industry or market.
Throughout the discussion and analysis of the above elements, students will need to describe relevant real-world examples (technologies, innovations, products, services, companies, etc.) based on their own research
