SCENARIO The field of marketing has changed tremendously in the last couple of years. The organization have also started understanding the need of looking farther the basic marketing. Now the marketing is been collaborated and integrated with the organizational strategy. The marketing process have been evolved with the greater more understanding of the marketing with the shift to customer value proposition. TASK 1 You are the marketing manager, leading the marketing department of an organization. Your team is responsible for identifying and delivering a marketing plan that supports organizational objectives. You have been asked to write a report titled “Developing and Managing a Strategic Marketing Plan for (Name of an organization)”, to be presented to the board of directors, on how a strategic marketing plan should be developed and managed in the organization. In your review you must analyze the importance of strategic marketing management, the process involved in developing and implementing strategic marketing process and highlighting how does strategic marketing planning is linked with the corporate strategy. You also need to identify and apply the various model of strategic marketing planning required to develop a strategy marketing planning. Your report should be unified and coherent. It must not exceed 6,500 words as is the normal industry standard for such reports. (This addresses the assessment criteria AC 1.1, 1.2, 1.3; AC 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3.) TASK 2 You are required to assess and analyze the various strategic marketing techniques used by the organization to ascertain the growth and opportunities available in a marketing. You are also required to analyze the changes being faced by your selected organization in changing market scenarios and how does the organization over these changes. On the basis of your analysis, create and orally present a PowerPoint presentation titled “Applying Strategic Marketing Management Techniques to a Market Situation”, showing the application of strategic marketing techniques to create appropriate marketing objectives for a defined market and showing how you would respond to changes in the marketing environment. You must prepare cue cards to accompany your presentation. Add your cue cards as slides to the end of your presentation slide deck. Your presentation and cue cards must not exceed 1,500 words. Your presentation slide deck must not exceed 17 slides and your cue cards must not exceed 12 slides. Your presentation must not exceed 15 minutes. Follow the presentation format given in the document titled “Additional Guidance on Assignments”. (This addresses the assessment criteria AC 3.1, 3.2, 3.3; AC 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3.)
