Porters Five Forces is a framework for analysing the competitive forces operating within an industry. For this assignment you will works in teams of 5 and:
• Select an industry sector and carry out an assessment of the competitive forces within that sector using the Porters Five Forces model
• Provide a summary of the overall competitive nature of the selected industry sector
• Identify existing businesses within the sector, their relative positions with respect to their competitors and their relationships with suppliers and buyers
• The dynamics that are impacting the sector, including new entrants and substitute products
• A conclusion about the attractiveness of the selected industry sector for new entrants/Entrepreneurs
