Task Summary
You are the Event Manager for a venue capable of having multiple events running onsite at any given time. You have been approached by four clients wishing to host their event at your venue on the same days (Wednesday – Friday). The Revenue Manager and the General Manager of the venue are very keen to secure all four clients and have asked you to prepare a presentation on how you will accommodate the four events in the available spaces while maintaining excellent customer service.
Context
This assessment task will demonstrate your ability to:
- Analyse the different types of venues and determine their appropriate uses based on stakeholder needs, in this instance the four potential clients
- Problem solve and develop creative solutions from a venue perspective
- Present reasoned arguments for your suggested courses of action and anticipate challenges that could arise.
Your presentation should include:
- A brief overview of the four events
- A description of three venues that would be suitable to host the events and what events you consider these venues suitable for.
- A justification of why two venues were not appropriate
- A description of the venue you chose, explaining why it was chosen and describing where each event could be hosted in the venue
- Any known challenges that the venue or team may face due to your proposed solution and how you would mitigate these
