Your written analysis and verbal discussion points must focus on the following:
1) Identification of the signs of conflict that appear between the participants in the case study. These
signs can include both body language and verbal expression.
2) A description of the reasons why the workplace conflict has occurred. These can include obvious
reasons as well as those that are less visible (ie. you may need to interpret the situation).
3) A definition and short explanation about the conflict handling style (ie. compromise or accommodate
or force or collaborate) that you have chosen as the best one to use to resolve this conflict.
4) Using the conflict handling style that you have chosen, apply the `Six-Step Resolution Roadmap’
(based on Thomas & Kilmann, 1974), describing what you would do in each of the six steps to resolve
the conflict in your case study. (See the Week 5 slideset for details about each of the steps).
