It will provide you with the opportunity to describe your understanding of the important strategies implemented within a business, as well as concepts adapted to ensure the ongoing growth and profitability of a business. Instructions: Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is one of the world’s largest travel agency groups. It has companyowned operations in 23 countries and a corporate travel management network that spans more than 90 countries. It employs more than 19,000 people globally and has a total of 2,800 businesses that operate within the network. By 2035, FCTG is aiming to become the world’s largest and most successful corporate travel company with operations in more than 50 countries and 80,000 employees across the globe. “We know where we want to go, and with our strong team of dedicated, driven people, we know we’re going to get there”. The business plans to continue to grow to become the world’s most exciting and profitable travel retailer, delivering amazing experiences to all of their employees, their partners and their customers. Now that you have a thorough understanding of the Flight Centre Travel Group business, deconstruct the nature of group behaviour in Flight Centre Travel Group and how the use of self awareness and motivation is used to develop teams into high achieving businesses. Include two (2) additional, new strategies that you believe will be effective if incorporated and why they should be implemented. Format: Essay of 2,000 words +/-10% In order to complete this assessment, you will need to have studied the subject content throughout Days 1 – 4 and developed a good understanding of strategies, theories and concepts that are used for effective group behaviour and appreciate the importance of self awareness, emotional intelligence and motivation. The essay requires you to demonstrate your understanding of group behaviour and strategies employed to enable effective interaction in a professional context including specific concepts and real-world evidence. You should not only describe what you have learnt but also offer some commentary and interpretation. The essay should have the following sub – sections: ? An introduction (approximately 350 words) to provide background information, a main idea around group behaviour and general direction of the essay. The purpose of this section is to introduce the topic to be discussed and tell your reader exactly what you are going to cover and in what order. It is effectively a “map” to the paper ? The main body of your essay (approximately 1,300 words) should consist of several paragraphs that discuss the topic, including your ideas and evidence. These should relate to the topic question by explaining how various strategies are used and implemented to positively impact a business’ operations. Please note that “main body” is not an appropriate headings ? A conclusion to draw your ideas together. This section “rounds off” your discussion of the topic and brings together all the information you have previously discussed in the essay.
